It ended up being a nice little trip as an initial voyage. The Ocean View campground is quite nice. Matt, Emily and I went miniature golfing on Saturday and then stuck around the clubhouse for some fresh ice cream. The people at the ice cream stand were nice enough to wash off the scoop before getting Matt’s. I mentioned that he as allergic to nuts and they volunteered to wash it off before scooping. Overnight Saturday night, the skies let loose and it started raining and didn’t stop.

We started breaking camp at around 7:45 am and I was drenched by 7:48. I was able to get everything hooked up and attached to the truck by 8:30 and we were on the road before 9:00. Everything was soaking wet and muddy, but we were on the way home. We made it home at about 10:30 — so we ended up making good time, even with the weather. By the time we got home, everything was calm, it wasn’t raining real hard here anymore, so putting everything away was a little more calm. We learned a valuable lesson, don’t go away when you have to be back during the day on Sunday. It makes things very difficult.
